Beer Bread - Alice Kuhar's Recipes

3 cups white flour
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1-1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1-1/2 cups sour cream
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons beer
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 sticks butter
1-1/4 cups minus 1 tablespoon sugar
Topping Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2/3 cup chopped walnuts
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cream butter thoroughly with sugar. Add eggs, sour cream, beer and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour mixture gradually, mixing well.

Combine topping ingredients. Spoon 1/ 3 of batter into a 10-inch greased tube pan. Cover with 1/ 3 of topping mixture. Repeat for next 2 layers, ending with the topping mixture. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 1 hour. (This bread will freeze well.)

4 cups Bisquick
12 oz beer
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a loaf pan. Mix together Bisquick mix, beer, and sugar. Pour into loaf pan and bake 30 minutes. Brush loaf with melted butter and bake another 20 minutes. Remove from pan to cool and slice. May be frozen.
