CRAIG DEAS
Craig Deas serves as the Director of Community & Media Relations for the Lake County Captains. Deas was voted as the South Atlantic League Media Relations Director of the Year in 2007 and 2008. The 2012 season will be his tenth year in the broadcast booth and will be his sixth as the "Voice of the Captains." He is also the Voice of Lake Erie College Football and Men's and Women's Basketball. He also calls high school football and basketball on GTV in Geauga County as well as WELW in Willoughby. Deas has been broadcasting local sports since 1987. A Clydebank, Scotland native, he has called high school sports on Viacom Cable, Continental Cable, Media One, Comcast and Adelphia. His career began in 1983, when he worked as an associate producer of the Pete Franklin Sportsline Show on WWWE. While at WWWE, Deas also helped produce Indians, Browns and Cavaliers broadcasts. He has also had on-air stints at WDJQ in Alliance as well as WKNR, WHK, WERE, and WRMR in Cleveland. Deas lives in Perry with his wife Gina and has three grown children.
TIM O'BRIEN
Tim O'Brien serves as the Seasonal Radio Broadcaster for the Lake County Captains. O'Brien, 25, has spent time in Lake County as the Press Box intern in the summer of 2007. Tim is a 2010 alumnus of Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea with a Bachelor of Arts degree specializing in broadcasting and mass communications. During his time at B-W, Tim held the positions of Sports Director and General Manager at the college's student radio station, WBWC. In 2011 O'Brien was the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Wilson Tobs of the Coastal Plain League, and finished the summer with the Kinston Indians, the Advanced class A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. O'Brien served as the Assistant Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the K-Tribe. O'Brien was a 2005 graduate of Kirtland High School, and still resides in Kirtland.
